The Longboards locations have continued to work with staff and local Health departments to keep staff and customers safe while visiting our locations. The staff tested are following a 10 day protocol per CDC guidelines. The remaining staff have also been directed to stay home if they feel sick. These are indeed scary times and they are only magnified when mis-information begins to cycle.
Update August 4th....We have two verified Negative tests at the East Beach location. One employee served out their self quarantine and returned to work this week. Another employee traveled to Florida for vacation. Upon return to work, the employee had to get tested and self-qurantine. This employee received a confirmed negative test result and is cleared to return after August 9th, 2020.
We did have one Positive case at our Olde Towne location. This employee returned from vacation and felt ill. The employee is self quarantining and is eligible for return on August 10th, 2020
Upon the news of a possible case, Longboards didn't hesitate to hire a professional company to sanitize and disinfect the facility that evening. In addition to this deep cleaning, the restaurant has hired a professional company to fog the restaurant weekly. On Thursday, July 16th, the Virginia Dept of Health did a site visit of the location. During this surprise inspection, the inspector witnessed staff following CDC protocol. The location passed all recommended guidelines.
“The safety of our customers and staff remains our top priority and we will continue to follow CDC COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations. We appreciate your support and understanding during these unprecedented times.”
